Hello and welcome to the ANEW Body
Insight podcast.
00;00;44;10 - 00;00;48;27
I am Doctor Supatra Tovar,
and I am thrilled to have Vernon Webb
00;00;49;05 - 00;00;53;25
and Shaune Arnold from Mind
Mastery Accelerator with us today.
00;00;54;07 - 00;00;55;19
Welcome.
00;00;55;19 - 00;00;58;07
(clapping)
00;00;58;16 - 00;00;59;04
I'm going to
00;00;59;04 - 00;00;59;26
read a little bit
00;00;59;26 - 00;01;03;23
about Vernon and Shaune, and then I'm going
to get right into my questions
00;01;03;23 - 00;01;07;15
because I have so many
interesting questions for them.
00;01;08;15 - 00;01;11;14
Vernon Webb is a distinguished graduate
00;01;11;14 - 00;01;15;03
of California State
University, Northridge, with a B.S.
00;01;15;03 - 00;01;18;10
in Business Administration
and a master's certification
00;01;18;10 - 00;01;21;10
from the Institute of Psycho Orientology.
00;01;22;04 - 00;01;24;07
Trained by Jose Silva,
00;01;24;07 - 00;01;27;07
the founder of the Silva Mind Control Method.
00;01;27;07 - 00;01;32;06
Vernon has earned national recognition
as a mind development trainer.
00;01;32;26 - 00;01;36;12
His deep understanding of the subconscious
mind's power
00;01;36;17 - 00;01;39;19
has driven his passion
for personal growth,
00;01;39;27 - 00;01;43;19
which he now shares through Mind
Mastery Accelerator,
00;01;43;27 - 00;01;48;05
a venture he co-founded with Shaune Arnold
to help individuals
00;01;48;05 - 00;01;52;24
unlock their full potential
by eliminating limiting beliefs.
00;01;53;15 - 00;01;59;00
Shaune Arnold, a seasoned attorney
with over 30 years of experience
00;01;59;00 - 00;02;04;17
in business law, has spent 40 years
as a business consultant helping
00;02;04;20 - 00;02;09;04
countless clients
navigate legal and operational challenges.
00;02;09;22 - 00;02;15;13
Her belief that business success
hinges on mindset rather than just skill
00;02;15;23 - 00;02;20;04
led her to co-found Mind
Mastery Accelerator alongside Vernon Webb.
00;02;20;20 - 00;02;23;09
Together,
they provide a transformative journey
00;02;23;09 - 00;02;27;24
of self-discovery, guiding participants
to break through limiting beliefs
00;02;28;00 - 00;02;31;17
using powerful neuro strategic tools.
00;02;31;29 - 00;02;34;01
Welcome, Vernon. Welcome, Shaune.
00;02;34;01 - 00;02;35;09
Thank you so much.
00;02;35;09 - 00;02;38;00
We're so excited to have you here today.
00;02;38;00 - 00;02;41;28
And I am really excited to pick
both of your brains
00;02;41;28 - 00;02;46;18
on what is behind
Mind Mastery Accelerator.
00;02;46;18 - 00;02;49;02
So I'm going to start with Vernon.
00;02;49;02 - 00;02;53;10
Could you share your experience
training with Jose Silva? And
00;02;53;12 - 00;02;57;08
for people who don't know, this is it a pretty old,
00;02;57;17 - 00;03;00;22
you know, old technique from 70s?
00;03;00;28 - 00;03;02;26
60s. 60s.
00;03;02;26 - 00;03;07;04
That is actually kind of
gaining a little bit of traction today,
00;03;07;12 - 00;03;12;11
with companies like Mind Valley,
if you're not familiar with Jose Silva,
00;03;12;23 - 00;03;17;13
but can you tell us about training
with him and how that laid the foundation
00;03;17;13 - 00;03;21;10
for your work in mind development
through Mind Mastery Accelerator?
00;03;21;15 - 00;03;25;03
When I get to talk about Jose Silva
and the Silva Method,
00;03;25;21 - 00;03;29;03
it's exciting because this is probably
one of the largest
00;03;29;03 - 00;03;32;03
mind development
organizations in the world.
00;03;32;07 - 00;03;35;07
It's got programs
in over 100 different foreign countries,
00;03;35;16 - 00;03;38;16
and it's been taught in
more than 30 different foreign languages.
00;03;38;21 - 00;03;41;10
So something is going on there.
00;03;42;12 - 00;03;43;13
I found out
00;03;43;13 - 00;03;47;16
about Silva Mind Control
looking through a gentlemen's
00;03;47;16 - 00;03;52;28
quarterly magazine entitled
Looking for the Silva Lining.
00;03;53;22 - 00;03;56;22
And I always had an interest
in the mind and hypnosis.
00;03;57;00 - 00;04;00;22
And so I began to realize
that this was something
00;04;00;22 - 00;04;03;22
that was really catching up with me.
00;04;05;13 - 00;04;06;05
What it is
00;04;06;05 - 00;04;09;17
that Jose does is
he was ahead of his time,
00;04;10;10 - 00;04;13;10
and he realized in working with his kids
00;04;13;24 - 00;04;17;23
that the mind and how you see education
00;04;17;23 - 00;04;21;07
is absolutely critical
to your success in life.
00;04;21;23 - 00;04;26;21
So he was very big on education,
and so he started working with his kids.
00;04;27;00 - 00;04;30;12
He started with, biofeedback.
00;04;30;23 - 00;04;33;16
He used, he looked at hypnosis.
00;04;33;16 - 00;04;37;29
And they weren't giving him exactly
what it was that he was looking for.
00;04;38;11 - 00;04;41;23
And then one day, while he was working
with his daughter Isabel,
00;04;42;13 - 00;04;45;15
he was formulating the usual questions
00;04;45;15 - 00;04;48;14
for her to take to school.
00;04;48;18 - 00;04;51;07
And as he formulated the question,
00;04;53;06 - 00;04;56;25
who was the 16th president?
Just formulating in his mind,
00;04;56;28 - 00;04;58;17
and she said, Abraham Lincoln.
00;04;59;23 - 00;05;00;04
He said,
00;05;00;04 - 00;05;03;12
but I didn’t ask you.
And she said well isn’t that the answer?
00;05;03;12 - 00;05;06;15
Yeah, but how did you know?
That was the turning point.
00;05;06;27 - 00;05;10;09
Because in essence, what she had done
is that she had read his mind.
00;05;11;03 - 00;05;14;29
And from there,
he just started moving it forward,
00;05;15;14 - 00;05;19;15
teaching the rest of the kids in a family,
teaching the neighborhood kids.
00;05;20;01 - 00;05;23;01
How about how to use your mind
to get better grades.
00;05;23;13 - 00;05;25;05
And from there,
00;05;25;05 - 00;05;29;13
the parents of the children said, look,
our kids are smarter and everything.
00;05;29;14 - 00;05;30;16
What are you doing?
00;05;30;16 - 00;05;34;02
And so he began to lay it out to them
and show them.
00;05;34;11 - 00;05;37;18
And the next thing you know,
he had created the method,
00;05;38;02 - 00;05;41;02
the Sylva Mind Control Method.
00;05;41;05 - 00;05;44;11
What I've learned with working with Jose,
00;05;44;11 - 00;05;48;25
and I was honored to be,
you know, taught by the master. Yes.
00;05;49;10 - 00;05;51;25
And he is very unassuming,
00;05;53;13 - 00;05;54;24
very quiet spoken.
00;05;54;24 - 00;05;59;03
Speaks with a very thick Mexican accent.
00;06;00;03 - 00;06;03;23
But he just, you know, people
say, Jose, you've changed me.
00;06;03;23 - 00;06;06;13
He goes no you did.
00;06;06;13 - 00;06;09;13
And he talks
about how people have used their minds.
00;06;09;21 - 00;06;12;10
So I took that
00;06;12;10 - 00;06;15;10
along with about 20 years
with the civil organization.
00;06;16;00 - 00;06;20;13
And it was just something
that was so fascinating to me
00;06;20;24 - 00;06;25;18
that I decided that I just wanted to read
and absorb as much as I could.
00;06;25;21 - 00;06;26;17
Right.
00;06;26;17 - 00;06;29;22
Now, can you give us, for people
who don't know what it is.
00;06;29;22 - 00;06;30;25
Because it seems kind
00;06;30;25 - 00;06;34;08
of mystical and strange
if you don't really understand what it is.
00;06;34;18 - 00;06;36;16
If you could give it
like in a little nutshell,
00;06;36;16 - 00;06;39;12
I know that's really hard
because there's so much to it.
00;06;39;12 - 00;06;43;12
I've actually done my homework on it
and read a few of books, including,
00;06;43;12 - 00;06;46;12
Jose Silva's book. His original book.
00;06;46;18 - 00;06;49;18
But if you could encapsulated
in a nutshell,
00;06;49;27 - 00;06;53;07
what exactly is the Silva Mind
Control Method?
00;06;53;25 - 00;06;55;13
Very simply,
00;06;56;23 - 00;06;58;23
it's conscious control
00;06;59;08 - 00;07;00;27
of the subconscious mind,
00;07;01;03 - 00;07;05;03
because I think that right about now,
most people are aware
00;07;05;15 - 00;07;09;06
that the bulk of our mental capabilities
lie in the subconscious mind.
00;07;10;02 - 00;07;13;01
But if you don't know how to access
00;07;13;02 - 00;07;18;19
the subconscious mind to make changes
in your life, then it's like having money
00;07;18;19 - 00;07;21;19
somewhere that's yours
and you don't know where it is.
00;07;21;19 - 00;07;23;11
You know it's in a bank
somewhere in the world.
00;07;23;11 - 00;07;25;04
But what bank? There’s millions of them.
00;07;26;02 - 00;07;27;07
Can’t help ya.
00;07;27;07 - 00;07;31;03
So it's about learning
how to create time for yourself.
00;07;32;04 - 00;07;35;04
How to close your eyes and go within.
00;07;35;22 - 00;07;37;27
And to begin to establish a line
00;07;37;27 - 00;07;40;27
of communication between the conscious
and subconscious mind.
00;07;41;01 - 00;07;42;23
What do you want?
00;07;42;23 - 00;07;44;18
Most people don't know what they want.
00;07;44;18 - 00;07;46;16
They're pretty sure they haven't got it.
00;07;46;16 - 00;07;48;24
But they don't know what they want. Right.
00;07;48;24 - 00;07;53;19
So now they start thinking well I want
and they start seriously thinking
00;07;53;19 - 00;07;55;26
about mentally, physically,
00;07;55;26 - 00;07;58;26
and emotionally the changes
they'd like to make in their lives.
00;07;59;00 - 00;08;04;07
And that really is where that conscious
control of the subconscious mind
00;08;05;10 - 00;08;06;15
begins to come in with
00;08;06;15 - 00;08;12;10
reprograming the mind, because oftentimes
the mind has been compared to a computer.
00;08;12;14 - 00;08;12;25
Right.
00;08;12;25 - 00;08;15;25
Of course, on the one hand it's garbage
in, garbage out.
00;08;15;29 - 00;08;19;12
Try to minimize the garbage going in
so that we can minimize the garbage
00;08;19;12 - 00;08;20;10
coming out. Right.
00;08;20;10 - 00;08;23;25
But it is about what you think
00;08;23;25 - 00;08;26;25
and believe and you are a product
of your belief system.
00;08;27;02 - 00;08;30;07
That is to say, whatever it is
that you believe to be true is.
00;08;31;01 - 00;08;32;07
Because you believe it.
00;08;32;07 - 00;08;33;21
Yes, it is true.
00;08;33;21 - 00;08;35;29
Just means you believe it to be true. Yes.
00;08;35;29 - 00;08;37;03
And that's all it takes.
00;08;37;03 - 00;08;41;04
Yes. And it's we were talking earlier
before we started shooting
00;08;41;04 - 00;08;46;00
and that it's not that different
from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
00;08;46;00 - 00;08;49;19
in that once
you kind of understand what your,
00;08;49;27 - 00;08;53;04
automatic thoughts are
that's coming from CBT,
00;08;53;17 - 00;08;57;05
you realize that you kind of have a run
running tape
00;08;57;13 - 00;08;59;22
that's going
all the time in the background,
00;08;59;22 - 00;09;02;23
and that's really your subconscious
because you've thought
00;09;02;28 - 00;09;06;28
usually a limiting thought
or a negative thought for so long
00;09;07;05 - 00;09;10;03
that it just becomes
this running tape in the background.
00;09;10;03 - 00;09;15;15
And it actually, dictates a lot
of your actions, a lot of what you do.
00;09;15;15 - 00;09;16;16
And it was certainly dictates
00;09;16;16 - 00;09;19;10
your feelings,
because CBT is about how your thoughts
00;09;19;10 - 00;09;21;23
affect your feelings,
affect your behaviors.
00;09;21;23 - 00;09;25;20
And so when you're thinking this,
you know, negative thought about yourself,
00;09;25;29 - 00;09;27;03
you're going to feel terrible.
00;09;27;03 - 00;09;30;19
And usually you don't have motivation
or you don't, you know,
00;09;30;29 - 00;09;34;02
you don't really
realize your dreams in life.
00;09;34;09 - 00;09;39;01
But if you gain control of your automatic
thinking and learn
00;09;39;01 - 00;09;42;17
how to change it systematically,
and that's what the Sylva Method does.
00;09;42;26 - 00;09;44;09
That's also what CBT does.
00;09;44;09 - 00;09;47;06
And we'll talk about NLP as well.
00;09;47;06 - 00;09;51;04
You can create
amazing change in your life.
00;09;51;05 - 00;09;54;04
And so really it's about the power
00;09;54;08 - 00;09;59;13
of the mind and really understanding
that you have so much more control
00;09;59;25 - 00;10;03;02
over your mind than you thought before.
00;10;03;09 - 00;10;06;01
Correct?
That is true. But if you don't know
00;10;07;04 - 00;10;09;07
how to access it,
00;10;09;07 - 00;10;11;11
what good does it do you? Exactly.
00;10;11;20 - 00;10;15;10
So it's about learning
how to access that part of your mind.
00;10;15;10 - 00;10;18;10
But that is something
I know there's a difference between,
00;10;18;20 - 00;10;21;21
you know, certainly Silva and NLP and CBT,
00;10;22;10 - 00;10;25;10
but every morning
00;10;25;12 - 00;10;28;07
create some time for yourself. Yes.
00;10;28;07 - 00;10;31;07
Jose used to say five minutes is good.
00;10;31;08 - 00;10;33;10
I’ve kinda upped that, you need ten minutes.
00;10;33;10 - 00;10;37;02
And he said, well
once a day is good, twice a day is good.
00;10;37;02 - 00;10;39;13
Three times a day is excellent.
00;10;39;13 - 00;10;41;11
Let's start with twice a day.
00;10;41;11 - 00;10;43;05
And if you're really anxious
00;10;43;05 - 00;10;46;22
and want to make some significant changes
quickly 2 or 3 times.
00;10;47;06 - 00;10;48;28
Best time is in the morning.
00;10;48;28 - 00;10;53;05
Second best time, strange
as it may seem, is in the evening.
00;10;53;25 - 00;10;56;04
And the third best time
is somewhere in the afternoon. Yep.
00;10;57;05 - 00;10;57;20
But just
00;10;57;20 - 00;11;02;18
relaxing the body, relaxing the mind
and just focusing on
00;11;02;25 - 00;11;05;13
how to create the kind of mental pictures
00;11;05;13 - 00;11;08;25
that the subconscious mind
really loves to feed on.
00;11;09;11 - 00;11;11;02
Because that's really what it's about.
00;11;11;02 - 00;11;13;24
Yes. The mental pictures. I love it.
00;11;13;24 - 00;11;19;01
So we're going to pivot to Shaune
because you use Silva Method
00;11;19;01 - 00;11;22;13
for mind
master, Mind Mastery Accelerator.
00;11;23;00 - 00;11;27;16
But there's also a component
of NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programing
00;11;27;16 - 00;11;28;21
in that as well. Yes.
00;11;28;21 - 00;11;31;21
So then we're going to figure out
how you two have
00;11;31;26 - 00;11;34;22
kind of mind melded yourselves together
here.
00;11;34;22 - 00;11;38;02
Shaune, you have decades
00;11;38;02 - 00;11;41;27
experience
in law, really amazing background in law.
00;11;42;12 - 00;11;47;01
But you also have a background in Neuro
Linguistic Programing or NLP.
00;11;47;16 - 00;11;49;15
Please inform our audience,
00;11;49;15 - 00;11;50;25
what the heck is that?
00;11;50;25 - 00;11;53;04
Because I think a lot of people
don't know what that is.
00;11;53;04 - 00;11;56;09
And how does that apply to the program
you're creating?
00;11;56;21 - 00;11;59;26
Neuro Linguistic Programing very shortly
00;11;59;26 - 00;12;03;13
is the study of human excellence.
00;12;04;05 - 00;12;05;27
It is the study of
00;12;07;19 - 00;12;10;19
why we do the things that we do.
00;12;10;25 - 00;12;14;17
And what is the conversation
that is going on in our heads.
00;12;14;21 - 00;12;20;24
What's the difference between the person
who is sweeping a street
00;12;20;28 - 00;12;23;28
for a living and a Michael Jordan?
00;12;25;04 - 00;12;29;28
What's the conversation that's going on in
Michael Jordan's head that caused him
00;12;29;28 - 00;12;34;13
to make the choices that he made, that
caused him to have the life that he had.
00;12;34;18 - 00;12;36;00
And that's really what it's about.
00;12;36;00 - 00;12;39;20
It's about our choices because our choices
00;12;39;20 - 00;12;42;20
create our lives, our thoughts
00;12;43;13 - 00;12;45;11
create our beliefs.
00;12;45;11 - 00;12;48;00
Our beliefs create our behavior,
00;12;48;00 - 00;12;50;04
and our behavior creates our results.
00;12;51;06 - 00;12;54;19
So NLP, in studying how we think
00;12;55;06 - 00;13;00;23
and in studying how we speak to ourselves
and to other people,
00;13;01;22 - 00;13;06;05
finding our place in the world
and then studying the programs
00;13;06;12 - 00;13;12;00
that we have running inside,
most of which we are unaware of.
00;13;12;12 - 00;13;15;12
We, we don't know what that story is.
00;13;15;12 - 00;13;17;16
We just know the effect of it.
00;13;17;16 - 00;13;21;14
The inability to start the business
that you want to start.
00;13;21;20 - 00;13;25;16
The inability
to pick up the phone in prospect.
00;13;26;11 - 00;13;31;21
You may sit up at 11:00 at night and,
and make some wonderful plans
00;13;31;21 - 00;13;33;22
and what you're going
to do in the morning,
00;13;33;22 - 00;13;36;29
and then you wake up in the morning
and grab your phone and start scrolling
00;13;36;29 - 00;13;41;06
through your social media and, and,
and designing your new business card
00;13;41;06 - 00;13;46;02
and pushing your piles around on your
desk and not making money.
00;13;47;01 - 00;13;50;08
So Neuro Linguistic Programmiing
00;13;50;22 - 00;13;53;17
takes a look at all of that.
00;13;53;17 - 00;13;56;28
And it has 26 different
00;13;57;04 - 00;14;01;13
neuro strategic techniques
to bring to bear
00;14;02;06 - 00;14;06;17
to actually
update the software of our mind.
00;14;07;08 - 00;14;11;05
We can literally change
how we think about things.
00;14;11;18 - 00;14;14;18
We can change our relationship to money.
00;14;14;28 - 00;14;17;28
We can change our relationship
with our boss.
00;14;18;01 - 00;14;21;10
We can we can change our life
00;14;21;20 - 00;14;24;20
by changing how we think about our life.
00;14;24;29 - 00;14;27;23
And that is the beauty of the NLP.
00;14;27;23 - 00;14;32;29
So give me an like an overview
of what someone might experience
00;14;32;29 - 00;14;35;29
if they went to somebody who
00;14;35;29 - 00;14;38;16
you know teaches NLP.
00;14;38;16 - 00;14;41;28
Well there are a couple of different ways
that I have seen
00;14;41;28 - 00;14;45;24
NLP offered to people.
00;14;46;07 - 00;14;51;02
Some are in actually learning
the processes
00;14;51;02 - 00;14;54;02
and learning it as a practitioner
00;14;54;09 - 00;14;56;29
and in learning it as a practitioner,
00;14;56;29 - 00;15;00;05
you know, you you get those processes
done on you and you just sort of
00;15;00;13 - 00;15;03;06
you figure things out as you go along.
00;15;03;06 - 00;15;07;05
I have seen, NLP,
00;15;08;02 - 00;15;10;19
done on a practitioner level,
00;15;10;19 - 00;15;14;03
and that's generally, where I see it.
00;15;14;20 - 00;15;17;29
It is a practitioner
who is working with a client
00;15;18;12 - 00;15;22;17
who is experiencing fear,
who has limiting beliefs
00;15;22;17 - 00;15;27;08
that keep them stuck and unable
to build the life that they want,
00;15;27;18 - 00;15;31;26
a client that is, stuck in past trauma
00;15;32;09 - 00;15;35;27
and they're unable to to resolve it.
00;15;36;13 - 00;15;40;24
NLP is used, with PTSD
for returning veterans.
00;15;41;02 - 00;15;44;17
It is used to help people
00;15;45;21 - 00;15;48;11
hear each other in a marriage
00;15;48;11 - 00;15;51;02
and understand one another's love
00;15;51;02 - 00;15;54;02
languages and understand,
00;15;54;11 - 00;15;58;16
when the husband says,
but I buy you everything.
00;15;58;22 - 00;16;00;20
How do you not know I love you?
00;16;00;20 - 00;16;03;20
And she says, but you never touch me.
00;16;03;23 - 00;16;04;27
You never say. It.
00;16;04;27 - 00;16;07;22
Or you never tell me you love me.
00;16;07;22 - 00;16;11;28
That what they're saying is they're
communicating love in different ways.
00;16;12;14 - 00;16;15;21
And so NLP is a way
00;16;15;21 - 00;16;19;24
to learn our own motivations,
00;16;20;07 - 00;16;23;13
because that's really where
the change needs to happen within us.
00;16;23;28 - 00;16;26;23
But when you have two people
that are willing
00;16;26;23 - 00;16;30;15
to join forces to fix what's wrong,
00;16;30;22 - 00;16;34;06
NLP is a very, very powerful science.
00;16;34;07 - 00;16;36;09
Yeah. To help them with that. Okay.
00;16;36;09 - 00;16;40;15
So we're going to get into how those are
used in your program.
00;16;40;15 - 00;16;42;17
And I'm going to start with you.
00;16;42;17 - 00;16;45;21
How, if the Silva
00;16;45;21 - 00;16;48;21
Mind Control
Method is a big part of your foundation,
00;16;49;04 - 00;16;52;23
how does Mind Mastery Accelerator
build on these principles
00;16;53;01 - 00;16;57;04
to help participants
break free from their limiting beliefs?
00;16;58;21 - 00;17;00;25
The Silva Method
00;17;00;25 - 00;17;03;16
is is a powerful way
00;17;03;16 - 00;17;07;01
to access the subconscious mind and
00;17;08;05 - 00;17;11;17
I like to say, and I know Shaune
has correcting me on a couple of times.
00;17;11;17 - 00;17;13;04
There's more than one way to skin a cat.
00;17;13;04 - 00;17;15;28
She says you're going to find cat lovers.
00;17;15;28 - 00;17;17;05
(laughter)
00;17;17;06 - 00;17;18;04
Yeah.
00;17;18;04 - 00;17;20;18
We don't want the cat skinned.
00;17;20;18 - 00;17;22;14
(laughter)
00;17;22;14 - 00;17;26;11
But there's more than one way
to access the subconscious mind.
00;17;27;14 - 00;17;30;14
And that in itself fascinates me
00;17;30;25 - 00;17;34;21
because I enjoy the fact
that first of all, I can access
00;17;34;21 - 00;17;39;01
the subconscious mind by closing my eyes
and focusing on my breathing.
00;17;39;19 - 00;17;42;27
When you start looking at what it is
that geniuses
00;17;43;21 - 00;17;46;21
use to become geniuses,
00;17;47;00 - 00;17;50;15
Da Vinci, was about focusing on a spot.
00;17;50;27 - 00;17;53;27
Yeah. To the exclusion of everything else.
00;17;54;02 - 00;17;56;14
Einstein was about imagination.
00;17;56;14 - 00;17;59;14
Thomas Edison
was about relaxing your mind and body.
00;17;59;29 - 00;18;06;13
But what it is that Jose came up
with, being able to access that,
00;18;07;14 - 00;18;09;26
that powerful subconscious mind.
00;18;09;26 - 00;18;12;19
No one has been able
to do anything different.
00;18;12;19 - 00;18;15;10
Now we're talking about research.
00;18;15;10 - 00;18;19;28
And research has shown us the importance
of making sure that when you're
00;18;19;28 - 00;18;23;24
reprograming the subconscious mind
that there are pictures
00;18;24;07 - 00;18;27;19
because the subconscious mind
doesn't understand words.
00;18;27;20 - 00;18;28;08
Right.
00;18;28;08 - 00;18;30;17
And if people say well I'm gonna,
I'm gonna, I'm gonna,
00;18;30;17 - 00;18;33;20
there's a certain way that you have
to communicate with the subconscious mind,
00;18;33;27 - 00;18;36;27
and I'm gonna it's not going to do it.
00;18;37;05 - 00;18;39;09
As strange as it may seem,
00;18;39;09 - 00;18;43;00
you have to tell the subconscious mind
I have what it is that I want.
00;18;43;04 - 00;18;44;17
Right.
00;18;44;17 - 00;18;46;23
And some people may say
but I don't have it.
00;18;46;23 - 00;18;48;13
Doesn't matter.
00;18;48;13 - 00;18;49;29
I have what it is that I want.
00;18;49;29 - 00;18;53;10
It is affirming that I have what it is
that I want.
00;18;54;02 - 00;18;57;02
The other way that we're talking about
00;18;57;10 - 00;19;00;07
what's going on between the Silva Method
00;19;00;07 - 00;19;03;07
and NLP is neural plasticity.
00;19;04;06 - 00;19;05;00
Because
00;19;05;00 - 00;19;07;24
what you're in essence
doing is reprograming.
00;19;07;24 - 00;19;10;23
Your neural pathways in your brain.
00;19;10;23 - 00;19;12;15
Reprograming those pathways.
00;19;12;15 - 00;19;16;03
And when you hear something negative,
Jose says
00;19;16;12 - 00;19;19;20
cancel, cancel, which means you don't want
your subconscious mind to accept that.
00;19;19;28 - 00;19;22;28
So now what do you want
your subconscious mind to accept?
00;19;22;29 - 00;19;25;21
Well I've got a new program.
I want to do this.
00;19;25;21 - 00;19;31;09
And when you do it over and over again
that becomes the new way of thinking. Yes.
00;19;31;17 - 00;19;34;17
And the old way just kind of
00;19;35;00 - 00;19;37;16
dissipates. It's extinguished.
00;19;37;16 - 00;19;40;27
If you were looking at it behaviorally
because you are no longer
00;19;41;03 - 00;19;44;11
reinforcing those old thoughts or beliefs.
00;19;44;21 - 00;19;48;10
You are actually, exactly, reprograming yourself, exactly,
from your thoughts.
00;19;48;10 - 00;19;49;17
So when that comes up,
00;19;49;17 - 00;19;51;11
this is the way you go now.
00;19;51;11 - 00;19;52;11
What about you?
00;19;52;11 - 00;19;55;27
And your mind just, no,
I only know this new way over here. Yes.
00;19;55;28 - 00;19;58;17
And that's all it is.
And that's what you count on. Yes.
00;19;58;17 - 00;20;02;26
And it's not that different from how,
you know, elite athletes
00;20;03;23 - 00;20;08;06
go through whatever they have to do
in terms of their sport.
00;20;08;13 - 00;20;11;21
They'll go through it and they'll
visualize it over and over again.
00;20;11;21 - 00;20;16;06
The, you know, the perfect completion
of whatever it is that they're doing.
00;20;16;06 - 00;20;19;20
And that's,
you know, essentially what you're doing.
00;20;19;27 - 00;20;20;11
Yeah.
00;20;20;11 - 00;20;23;10
On this subconscious level,
00;20;23;10 - 00;20;27;07
by imagining already having what you want.
00;20;27;08 - 00;20;31;20
It's the same thing as visualizing,
you know, performing this sport
00;20;31;27 - 00;20;32;27
perfectly.
00;20;33;13 - 00;20;34;27
Spaced repetition.
00;20;35;03 - 00;20;36;26
Prisoners of war,
00;20;36;26 - 00;20;38;16
in Vietnam,
00;20;38;16 - 00;20;42;26
to pass
the time would play 18 holes of golf.
00;20;43;26 - 00;20;44;28
And they found that when they
00;20;44;28 - 00;20;48;08
came home,
their golf game was exponentially better
00;20;48;22 - 00;20;51;26
because their mind did not realize
00;20;51;26 - 00;20;54;26
that they weren't actually playing golf.
00;20;55;16 - 00;20;58;00
That is the power of your unconscious
mind.
00;20;58;00 - 00;20;59;19
Notice I said unconscious.
00;20;59;19 - 00;21;02;27
That is probably the only real difference
00;21;03;14 - 00;21;06;24
between Sylva Mind Control and NLP,
00;21;06;24 - 00;21;11;27
is NLP says, your unconscious mind
is not sub to anything.
00;21;11;27 - 00;21;14;15
It is so powerful.
It beats your heart for you.
00;21;14;15 - 00;21;17;03
It breathes for you
in the middle of the night.
00;21;17;03 - 00;21;19;19
It’s where your memories are stored. It's,
00;21;19;19 - 00;21;23;08
it is so powerful that it.
00;21;23;19 - 00;21;26;19
We call it
the unconscious mind in NLP.
00;21;27;06 - 00;21;28;06
Well, what's the difference?
00;21;28;06 - 00;21;29;17
There is no difference.
00;21;29;17 - 00;21;30;09
Oh really?
00;21;31;02 - 00;21;33;20
Because I've heard, I've heard
some people say that there are
00;21;33;20 - 00;21;37;20
those layers,
the conscious, subconscious and unconscious.
00;21;38;00 - 00;21;42;17
Subconscious I think from what I've heard
is that it is an area
00;21;42;17 - 00;21;46;12
you can access
if you bring awareness to it.
00;21;46;23 - 00;21;51;12
And unconscious is where you don't
necessarily have the awareness.
00;21;51;12 - 00;21;55;29
It's that would be like your
your autonomic nervous system.
00;21;55;29 - 00;21;58;26
And yes, but it's all linguistics.
00;21;58;26 - 00;21;59;17
It is.
00;21;59;17 - 00;22;02;27
You're accessing
pretty much the same areas.
00;22;02;27 - 00;22;05;19
It just is defined differently.
00;22;05;19 - 00;22;06;19
Okay.
00;22;06;19 - 00;22;10;14
So we want to know about Mind
Mastery Accelerator.
00;22;10;21 - 00;22;12;04
What is this all about? You.
00;22;12;04 - 00;22;16;07
I want to know about the four levels,
the initiate,
00;22;16;07 - 00;22;19;07
the apprentice, journeyman and mine master.
00;22;19;15 - 00;22;24;02
And how does this support
personal and professional transformation?
00;22;25;03 - 00;22;26;04
Toss up.
00;22;26;04 - 00;22;27;24
Who wants to go?
00;22;27;24 - 00;22;32;00
Well, this week
we are starting with the initiate program.
00;22;32;00 - 00;22;32;20
Mm-hmm.
00;22;32;20 - 00;22;35;20
People are going to
00;22;36;00 - 00;22;37;12
learn the concept.
00;22;37;12 - 00;22;42;03
That really excited me
when I first came to learn about NLP,
00;22;42;14 - 00;22;47;25
how our brain actually works,
how we receive information,
00;22;48;04 - 00;22;51;18
how we develop the picture in our mind
00;22;51;18 - 00;22;55;07
that Vernon was speaking about earlier
that fascinated me
00;22;55;18 - 00;22;58;11
because I speak in words and
00;22;58;11 - 00;23;02;02
I thought that I think in pictures.
00;23;02;02 - 00;23;06;25
But when I studied NLP, I came to learn
no no no no.
00;23;07;04 - 00;23;12;28
When when your five senses
bring that data in to your lock box,
00;23;13;08 - 00;23;16;03
which is your brain,
there's no light in there.
00;23;16;03 - 00;23;17;21
There's no sound in there.
00;23;17;21 - 00;23;21;06
It sends its emissaries out
to bring that information in,
00;23;21;06 - 00;23;24;06
and it creates a picture.
00;23;24;29 - 00;23;28;19
And then you go about filtering
that picture
00;23;28;25 - 00;23;33;08
with your language,
your age, your gender, your culture,
00;23;33;14 - 00;23;37;27
your, a number of meta programs
there, your your physical state,
00;23;38;06 - 00;23;42;25
your your values, your beliefs,
your attitudes.
00;23;42;25 - 00;23;47;18
There are just a number of ways
that you filter that information.
00;23;47;18 - 00;23;52;22
In addition to the fact
that so much information came at you
00;23;52;29 - 00;23;56;13
at one time, that you will [sic] perce it down.
00;23;57;01 - 00;24;03;01
And not consciously process
absolutely everything that's coming at you
00;24;03;01 - 00;24;06;01
because you just can't, right,
and maintain your sanity.
00;24;06;03 - 00;24;11;05
And so when all of that happens, you act
00;24;11;23 - 00;24;14;23
and most of us think we have free will.
00;24;14;29 - 00;24;18;19
Most of us think that we are responding to
00;24;18;23 - 00;24;22;12
whatever is going on out there
in the world, but we're not.
00;24;23;00 - 00;24;27;28
Because most of those programs
that we're using to to filter
00;24;27;28 - 00;24;30;28
that information, to filter that picture,
00;24;31;06 - 00;24;33;19
we're not even aware of what that is.
00;24;33;19 - 00;24;34;16
For example,
00;24;35;21 - 00;24;38;21
someone is a saver.
00;24;38;24 - 00;24;40;14
Someone is a hoarder.
00;24;40;14 - 00;24;42;07
Someone is a spender.
00;24;42;07 - 00;24;43;19
Three different people.
00;24;43;19 - 00;24;46;04
They will each say to you
when they get a dollar.
00;24;46;04 - 00;24;49;11
The spender, all that dollars gone
before they ever get it.
00;24;49;26 - 00;24;55;03
The saver, the they they will invest
that money in the in their business.
00;24;55;15 - 00;24;56;10
The hoarder.
00;24;56;10 - 00;24;59;01
They will have the first dollar
they ever made
00;24;59;01 - 00;25;02;02
and they will each
tell you, well, I'm just that way.
00;25;02;02 - 00;25;04;07
I don't know why I'm that way. I'm
just that way.
00;25;04;07 - 00;25;07;07
But there's a reason why you're that way.
00;25;07;11 - 00;25;11;05
And NLP will help you understand
00;25;11;27 - 00;25;14;27
why you do the things that you do.
00;25;15;05 - 00;25;18;05
What is that conversation that's going on
00;25;18;05 - 00;25;22;26
that's mixing with that event
from the outside that creates
00;25;22;26 - 00;25;26;27
that behavior which may or may
not be serving you, right, in your life.
00;25;27;06 - 00;25;27;18
Right.
00;25;28;24 - 00;25;31;02
So what can a person
00;25;31;02 - 00;25;35;15
expect when they come into this program
on Wednesday?
00;25;35;16 - 00;25;38;16
What what will you walk them through?
00;25;39;15 - 00;25;43;00
First of all, we'll begin
with a centering exercise.
00;25;43;24 - 00;25;46;23
Because we want everyone to be able to
00;25;46;25 - 00;25;49;25
listen to us being shared with clarity.
00;25;50;19 - 00;25;53;00
And we are so certain
00;25;53;00 - 00;25;57;08
that people have a tendency to start,
you know monkey mind.
00;25;57;08 - 00;25;58;05
Mm-hmm.
00;25;58;05 - 00;26;03;08
Term that Shaune uses, cause every word
and that's where everyone's mind is.
00;26;03;24 - 00;26;08;04
Now we're talking about learning to train
your mind to do something differently.
00;26;08;23 - 00;26;11;11
Learn how to focus. DaVinci.
00;26;11;11 - 00;26;15;00
Focus on one thing over and over again.
00;26;15;00 - 00;26;15;20
Mm-hmm.
00;26;16;08 - 00;26;17;21
What we also want to be able to show
00;26;17;21 - 00;26;20;21
people how to do is to relax their mind and body.
00;26;20;23 - 00;26;21;00
Yes.
00;26;21;00 - 00;26;25;13
Because you can't use stress
as a way to get from where you are
00;26;25;13 - 00;26;26;25
to where you want to go.
00;26;26;25 - 00;26;28;15
You can't use willpower.
00;26;29;22 - 00;26;32;22
As a way to get from where you are
to where you want to go.
00;26;32;26 - 00;26;37;11
So it's about learning how to relax
your mind, becoming more focused
00;26;37;23 - 00;26;41;10
and learning how to relax your body
because that's what Edison did.
00;26;41;10 - 00;26;42;04
Mm-hmm.
00;26;42;04 - 00;26;43;23
He came up with some of his best ideas.
00;26;43;23 - 00;26;44;18
Yes.
00;26;44;23 - 00;26;48;05
The other is that we're going to show them
how to use their imagination.
00;26;48;22 - 00;26;53;11
Most people use visualization
and imagination interchangeably.
00;26;53;11 - 00;26;54;01
Mm-hmm.
00;26;54;01 - 00;26;56;23
When in reality they're totally different.
00;26;56;23 - 00;26;59;14
So if I ask you
what are the color of the walls
00;26;59;14 - 00;27;02;16
in your bedroom, you would tell me.
00;27;02;18 - 00;27;03;25
Cream. Cream.
00;27;03;25 - 00;27;04;19
All right.
00;27;04;19 - 00;27;07;04
Now how did you know that they were cream?
00;27;07;04 - 00;27;09;15
Well, because I just know.
00;27;09;15 - 00;27;11;25
Well no what you did
is you mentally went home.
00;27;11;25 - 00;27;13;01
And that (snaps fingers)
00;27;13;01 - 00;27;15;17
split second, you mentally went home.
00;27;15;17 - 00;27;18;29
You looked at the walls
and then you came back and said, cream.
00;27;18;29 - 00;27;19;28
Like you knew what you're talking about.
00;27;19;28 - 00;27;21;10
Right. Cream.
00;27;21;10 - 00;27;23;05
But that's the way we function.
00;27;23;05 - 00;27;24;27
Yes. That's visualization.
00;27;24;27 - 00;27;28;14
That is the ability to recall
something that you've seen before.
00;27;28;29 - 00;27;33;07
Were I to ask you to imagine
on the, on the back
00;27;33;07 - 00;27;38;24
wall there, there was a red dot
about the size of a basketball.
00;27;38;29 - 00;27;40;07
Could you do it. Yes.
00;27;40;07 - 00;27;42;01
Of course you would tell me. Yes.
00;27;42;01 - 00;27;44;28
Now is there a red dot on that back wall.
00;27;44;28 - 00;27;46;00
No. So
00;27;47;00 - 00;27;48;02
how did that happen.
00;27;48;02 - 00;27;51;02
You created that image of a red dot.
00;27;51;14 - 00;27;55;03
And our mental pictures are a combination,
00;27;55;03 - 00;27;56;14
notice I said mental pictures.
00;27;56;14 - 00;28;00;22
Combination
of visualization and imagination. Yes.
00;28;00;23 - 00;28;03;23
They come under the category and heading
of mental pictures.
00;28;04;01 - 00;28;06;28
So what we're going to be showing people
how to do are
00;28;06;28 - 00;28;09;28
the basics of mental projection.
00;28;10;00 - 00;28;12;29
How do you begin to predict your mind
elsewhere?
00;28;12;29 - 00;28;15;29
We'll start with something close,
at least in your mind.
00;28;16;06 - 00;28;18;22
And then we're going to start
with something more complex.
00;28;18;22 - 00;28;23;19
So we'll start with, easy
things like numbers
00;28;24;12 - 00;28;27;16
and what you want to see yourself
being able to do.
00;28;27;24 - 00;28;31;26
Then we'll talk about projecting
into inanimate objects.
00;28;31;26 - 00;28;32;15
Yes.
00;28;32;27 - 00;28;35;27
Animate objects.
00;28;36;04 - 00;28;37;00
The ability
00;28;37;00 - 00;28;40;13
to mentally project
inside of a piece of metal, for example.
00;28;41;04 - 00;28;44;06
That is a more advanced technique
00;28;44;24 - 00;28;48;05
in which we're going to be covering
in Mind Mastery Accelerator.
00;28;48;15 - 00;28;52;23
And all of this designed
to help people achieve their goals.
00;28;52;24 - 00;28;54;01
Absolutely.
00;28;54;01 - 00;28;59;00
On a practical level this week
what they will learn as an initiate,
00;28;59;15 - 00;29;02;23
they will see their wheel of life.
00;29;03;10 - 00;29;06;18
And they will see
which areas of their life
00;29;07;09 - 00;29;10;08
where they are supporting their journey,
00;29;10;08 - 00;29;13;02
their thought processes are,
00;29;13;02 - 00;29;16;02
are successfully supporting their journey.
00;29;16;04 - 00;29;18;23
But for most people
there's an area of our lives
00;29;18;23 - 00;29;23;02
where we're not doing as well as we could.
00;29;23;13 - 00;29;25;26
Okay.
Well we're going to get back into that.
00;29;25;26 - 00;29;29;21
We're out of time for this half
and I'm super fascinated with this,
00;29;29;27 - 00;29;32;23
and I want to get into
all of the different steps.
00;29;32;23 - 00;29;35;05
And we're going to do that
in the next half.
00;29;35;05 - 00;29;35;22
Okay.
00;29;35;22 - 00;29;38;19
So thank you all for joining us.
00;29;38;19 - 00;29;42;04
